Women's Flag Football has come to the EFFA
IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT - 5v5 division has come to the EFFA outdoor and indoor seasons
The Edmonton Flag Football Association is excited to announce the addition of women's 5v5 Flag Football divisions to both our outdoor and indoor season. We launched both of these divisions during the 2024 seasons. The rules and style of the game resemble Olympic Flag Football with a few minor adjustments.
We have 5v5 divisions in both our summer season and winter season. Below is some general information for both.
Summer (outdoor)
- Season will run from mid May to late September (including playoffs for teams that qualify).
- A typical season will include approximately 16 games (including playoffs). This is dependent on the division structure and number of teams in the division.
- During the summer months all games will be played on weeknights (typically Monday nights). In the fall all games are played on weekends (both Saturday and Sunday).
- The EFFA fields are located southwest of 23rd Avenue and Saddleback Road.
Winter (indoor)
- Season will run from early November to late March (including playoffs for teams that qualify).
- A typical season will include approximately 16 games (including playoffs). This is dependent on the division structure and number of teams in the division.
- Games are played on Sunday nights at 9:30 PM and 10:30 PM.
- We will be playing at the Turf Training Center 4 located in Nisku (1030 - 34 Ave).
