High School Girls Flag Football

EFFA Fields: 810 Saddleback Road
Rules:
• Regular Edmonton Metro Athletic league rules apply.
• All games will have 2 EFFA referees. Referees will have captains meeting 3 minutes prior to game time.
• 20 minute halves. Halftime will be 3 minutes.
• Referees will be tracking points scored only and not individual stats. Quick score check will be done at half time with each coach.
• There will be approximately 10 minutes between games to allow teams to collect their belongings and get ready for the next game.
Equipment - Each team is responsible for having:
• Jerseys (and an alternate, if required);
• Flag belts and flags;
• Game ball, size as per Edmonton Metro League rules;
• Players to have shorts without pockets. No zippers or sewn up pockets allowed;
• Each player is required to be wearing a mouth guard
• Teams to provide their own First Aid kit
Parking
• The parking lot is a paid parking zone, enforced by HONK. This change has been made by our landlord.
• The rates are $2.50 for 2 hrs, with a $0.75 service fee.
• For ease of use and payment, we recommend downloading the HONK parking app. Signage is posted and visible. Please note that some stalls will be reserved for tenants of Taylor Campus.
• If you do not wish to pay for parking, there will be space available on Saddleback Road.
Pets
• With the large volume of people that will be at this event, NO pets will be allowed on the EFFA fields during this event.
• This is for the safety of the teams, players, officials, spectators and pets.
• The only exception is for registered service animals that are properly identified and leashed.
Game Day Information:
Coach Check-In Notes:
• Please check in at the Info Tent at least 30 minutes before your first game to pick up your Team Package.
• Your team will play 4 guaranteed games (see schedule for times+ field).
• Field #s, Washrooms and Food truck are marked on your field map.
• Will be updating score in Facebook and lnstagram

Your Team Package Includes:
• Game schedule & field map
• Player T-shirts
• Coaches are to decide for each game their OWN Player of the Game (POG)
o There are 4 Black POG shirts provided to each coach
Skills Competition:
• Skills Competition will take place on Field 6 at 12:30 pm SHARP
• Each team is responsible for entering a player in each event
• One player can only enter one event.
o Coach to nominate different player for each event
• Skills Events:
o Throwing Accuracy
o Gauntlet - Flag Pulling
o 40 yard dash
o Vertical test
